This book was ok for me. I read it in between my work schedule on my lunch breaks and sometimes at home when I remembered where my kindle was but the story didn't really grab me like some of the other books I've read. Mandy was a character that I didn't really connect with because I feel like the author tried to up her 'English' status too much. But the thing that really concerned me while reading this book was that I didn't WANT to connect with Mandy she was just a character I didn't care for. Damien was also another character I didn't care for either. The book seemed too focused on the characters problems and not their journey of falling in love. It seemed to happen almost instantaneously and I didn't really like that. I wanted to read more about how they fell in love and why they fell in love with each other. The only thing that I liked about this book was that Mandy was so gun-ho to raise her daughter to be strong but in the end it was moot point because they wind up together and Damien is rich so Mandy isn't really going to be as gun-ho because everything is taken care of by Damien. It was just a disappointment to me but it still passed the time for me during my lunch breaks.
